He is currently completing his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Academy of Fine Arts, Helsinki. Mäkelä’s artistic practice explores the dialogue between nature, memory, and abstraction.Over the past years, he has cultivated flower meadows at his summer cottage, creating a living sanctuary for bees and butterflies.
